ABOUT US
Public General Store was founded in 2016 by Olena Kozel and Erin Ahl as a brick-and-mortar home goods store in Winnipeg’s West Broadway neighbourhood. In 2025, we shifted our focus toward the production of our in-house line of Public fragrance goods and closed our storefront, moving into a studio in Winnipeg’s Exchange District at 70 Arthur Street.
While we no longer have regular storefront hours, we open the studio for limited shopping, primarily on First Fridays. Come by on the First Friday of the month to shop our fragrance collection, browse fresh vintage clothing, and see what’s happening in the studio.
You can also find our Public products at select shops around Winnipeg, including Hen, Indee Room, Menagerie, Chips Vintage, and Black Market.
